For as long as I can remember our mom has made ribbon jello! Such a fun treat, not only for the summer time, but also for holidays! The best part about this recipe is that any flavor combination always seems to taste good! Seriously, I have never had a combo I didn’t like!
Ingredients:
• 4 (3oz) packages of jello (any flavors)
• 1 can sweetened condensed milk
• 8 envelopes of plain gelatin
• water
Recipe:
• Mix 4 envelopes of gelatin with condensed milk. Add 2 cups of boiling water, combine and set aside to allow mixture to come to room temperature. If you notice the mixture is starting to set, I like to sit my bowl in a warm water bath.
• Mix 1 package of jello with 1 envelope of plain gelatin. Add 1 cup of boiling water, combine.
• Pour into 9×13 baking pan. Place in refrigerator to chill for 20-30 minutes, until jello is set.
• Pour 1/3 cup of milk and gelatin mixture on top of set jello. Place in refrigerator to chill until set, about 15 minutes.
• Continue steps 2-4, ending with your last color mixture on top. Make sure that all layers after the first are at ROOM TEMPERATURE before you layer! You will finish with 4 layers of color jello and 3 layers of milk and gelatin mixture.
• Enjoy!
