Before I start you should know, this picture above is my family, my everything, my “why.” They are the reason this post even exists and the reason I started our journey to a “cleaner” and less toxic home!
I am sure you have heard about Young Living and their essential oils way before coming across this blog post, but I am here to tell you a little about my story with Young Living’s amazing products and how I became “oily!”
Back track 3ish years, during my first pregnancy I started to really be conscious of the products I was using on my body. I started with my makeup, then lotions and shampoo. At the time, I really didn’t look much into the other products in my house. When Lucy was a few months old I suddenly realized, I needed a safe and nontoxic household cleaner for her toys, high chair, etc.
My sister had recently bought the Premium Starter Kit from Young Living and gave my mom some of thieves cleaner. My mom talked so highly about the thieves I decided I had to try it for myself!
When I started to look into purchasing thieves, I realized it made much more sense to purchase the Premium Starter Kit. The starter kit really gave me the kick start I needed in making my home a safer place filled with less toxic products.
Since my starter kit arrived from Young Living, it has been a fun journey learning all about essential oils! I started with simply diffusing my oils, and needless to say I fell in love! This is what lead me to my first “switch and ditch.” Bye, bye toxic candles!
Just as my mom fell in love with the thieves cleaner, so did I. I immediately placed another order for the thieves household cleaner, leading to my second “switch and ditch.” So long toxic household cleaners, thieves is moving in!
So here I am, on my journey to a cleaner, less toxic home for my kids, my husband, and I. “Switching and ditching” one product at a time! I hope sharing this journey is helpful and you will follow along!
